"Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful."
The goal of a designer is to listen, observe, understand, sympathize, empathize, synthesize, and glean insights that enable him or her to 'make the invisible visible.' - Hillman Curtis
When I was little, I used to love the segments on the news or talk shows where women and men would get "make-overs."
While it was thrilling to witness the external results from before to after, I took more interest in observing the inner transformation.
If you watched these segments like myself, you might recall that most of the time, the person being transformed would struggle to completely trust the process of change.
They might worry about the suggestion of wearing a tight-fitting outfit or worry about the hairstylist cutting their hair shorter than their normal liking of length. At the end of the transformation, they were more than pleased with the outcome.
This is what it's like to be "behind the scenes" with God when he is transforming you. God is going to hand you a lot of suggestions that you might not like. You can try it on or you are free to deny it.
This blog is intended to help answer the question of, "What would it be like to hand it over completely to God?"
In this personal blog, you will be clothed with stories of me as a control freak and me as a surrendered woman of faith in God.
You will hear stories of healing trauma, learning discernment and making corrections, accepting Christ into my life, resting & moving with God's timing, and learning to be flexible.
I hope these stories & words from God will inspire others who have lost their way through trauma, addictions, failed relationships, and/or unsustainable spirituality. Thank you for showing up to your life with God.
I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.
