Sarah Preiss
Sound & Yoga Instructor, Circle Guide, Infrared Mat Instructor
My yoga journey started at the age of 15. I was invited by my parents to attend classes with them. They had signed up to help my dad with chronic back pain. I enjoyed the exercise, the discipline and the flexibility it gave me. My practice started slowly while attending different series here and there at different studios. It took until my 30’s to truly discover what I was needing and looking for.
After working in schools with the Special Education Department I thought about how I can bring these skills to the classroom. I saw first hand how yoga helped me stay calm during my teenage years and wanted to share that with other teens. I decided on a yoga certification geared towards teachers. Through that training I started learning about how traumas can be stored in the body. This opened me up to several other modalities to help me heal from a new divorce. I then became certified in Sound Healing, Level 2 Reiki, and have tried several other modalities to help my body somatically release my traumas.
For me yoga is a practice that allows you to just BE. To come to your mat and let go of all that you are holding. We are a society of go go and constant stimulation, giving your body a chance to reset and let go can help the body mind and spirit. I have known from a young age that I have been put on this earth to guide and help others heal. My focus for my yoga classes is to come as you are and give people a space to explore poses and release. I will be specializing in Restorative style classes that allow you to release your tension, worries and stress.
Kathleen Sieler
Pilates & Aerial Yoga Instructor
Kathleen Sieler has been a Pilates instructor since August 2023. Health and fitness has been a core (see how she did that :)) part of her life since she started youth sports at the age of 10. Kathleen’s “real” approach to health, fitness, and overall wellness provides the opportunity for people to be successful in maintaining a harmony of mind, body, and spirit.
She is a firm believer that we have one life to live, so we should live it. Have the glass of wine, eat the piece of chocolate cake, and skip the workout if your body is telling you that it needs to rest. Tomorrow is another day! It is critically important and most beneficial to our mind, body, and spirit, to find balance between intentionally working to maintain a healthy lifestyle (which includes both exercise and diet) and honestly listening to what our mind OR body OR spirit may be telling us in any given moment.
Her classes are just one component on the list of many tasks a client has compiled to create a routine that fits their health and fitness wants and needs. She wants her clients to leave her class feeling good about their decision to include her as part of their health and fitness journey, and to always feel like they did their best based on where they were at physically and mentally when they walked into the room. Kathleen’s primary focus is for her clients to feel good on and off their mat or hammock!
